  • Round Pen Panels

  • We are also seeking medium to heavy duty round pen panels to aid in the rehabilitation of our rescues. Used panels in fairly good condition for a reduced prices and/or donated would be greatly appreciated.

  • Run In Shelters

  • Gently used, salvagable, corrugated steel or aluminum panels, 2 x 4's and 2 x 6's for run-in shelters. Please call 989-350-2971 or email: donations@nmhrr.org if you are able to help.

Special Needs Horses / Light Riders / Companions

The horses listed under this category all have special needs but still have quality of life. Even though many can not be ridden or ridden only lightly, these horses can become the best friend you've ever had.

Scarlet is a Quarter Horse / Belgian mix. She is 4 years old and stands over 16 HH. Scarlet suffers from a condition that causes the outside of her hooves to grow faster than the inside, making her knock kneed. Although she doesn't appear to have any pain from it, is able to walk, run and roll, it is unlikely that Scarlet will ever be weight bearing or able to pull a cart. Scarlet is a great horse with a sweet personality who needs a home where she can be a pasture pet or companion. Click here to request more information on Scarlet.
