Northern Michigan Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation is a non-profit charity and as such, all monetary and material donations, funds and adoption fees are used exclusively for the care and rehoming of our horses.
As you prepare for the 2010 hay season, please consider donating your 2009 hay to our organization. Please call 989-350-2971 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or email: northernmichiganrescue@charter.net. We will pick up but if your generosity extends to delivery it would be appreciated!!
Not only do we need monetary donations and rescue sponsors, we encourage participation within our organization. Currently, we need volunteers who are willing to be active in helping with fundraising ideas and events, newsletters, marketing, educational seminars and other important areas that will better serve the community and our rehabilitation program. If you are interested in volunteering, THANK YOU!!! Please fill out our volunteer contact form for adults or our volunteer contact form for minors indicating what you are able to help with and mail it to:

The facility we board with is a private, working stable. Therefore it is mandatory that a appointment be made and confirmed before visiting and visitors must be accompanied by a rescue organization volunteer, officer or member of the board in order to tour the facility or meet any of the horses. We are asking for your cooperation for the safety of our visitors, volunteers, any horses on the property, boarders and stable employees. Subsequent visits must also be confirmed unless other arrangements have been made. Anyone unable or unwilling to conform to this request will be asked to leave the property until such time a supervised visit can be arranged.
